IEPF Claim Assistance & Share Recovery

End-to-end legal and procedural assistance for reclaiming shares and unpaid dividends transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF Authority).

What is an IEPF Claim?

Under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act 2013 and IEPF Rules, all shares in respect of which dividend has not been paid or claimed for seven consecutive years or more are transferred by the company to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Suspense Account.

Reclaiming these shares requires filing an online statutory claim via Form IEPF-5 on the MCA portal, preparing detailed affidavits, indemnities, client master lists (CML), and coordinating with the company's Nodal Officer for physical verification.

Who Needs This Service?

  • Investors whose dividend cheques remained uncashed or lost over 7 consecutive years.
  • Shareholders holding old physical share certificates who found their folio transferred to IEPF.
  • Legal heirs and nominees claiming shares of deceased family members held under IEPF.
  • NRIs and overseas investors unable to coordinate directly with Indian RTAs and company registrars.
  • Claimants whose initial IEPF-5 filing was rejected or returned with technical discrepancy letters.

Documents Required for IEPF-5 Claim

Document accuracy is critical. An error in name spelling or signature will lead to rejection. We prepare and verify:

  • Copy of Acknowledgment & Form IEPF-5 (MCA Portal Filing).
  • Original Indemnity Bond on non-judicial stamp paper of prescribed value.
  • Original Advance Stamped Receipt signed by the claimant with revenue stamp.
  • Original Share Certificates (for physical shares) or Demat Transaction Statement.
  • Client Master List (CML) of the claimant's active Demat Account.
  • Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card and PAN Card.
  • Proof of entitlement (Dividend warrants, company letters, or transmission documents in death cases).
  • Original cancelled cheque leaf showing claimant's name and bank account details.
